Michael Raymond Morris
July 28, 1935 - January 4, 2015
Michael Raymond Morris
Born July 28, 1935 at 5:00 AM on Salt Spring Island
Left us on January 4, 2015 after a hard fought battle. He is survived by his wife, Pat; children, Susan(Bryon), Shelley(Glen) and Raymond; grandchildren, Jennifer(Ken), Bryn (Mike), David (Hayley), Shauna, Carlye(Jordan), Chelsea (Dan), Braeden and Thomas; and great grand-children, Kelsie, Meggan, Justin, Andrew, Emily and Hayden. Also survived by sister-in-law, Penny (Jean-Guy) and nieces, Shari, Jeannie, Kelly and their families.
Mike was very proud of his 35 years of service with the BC Power Commission and BC Hydro. He was an avid historian and curator of the Power Pioneers Museum. His tales were legendary, his laughter easily recognized and infectious.
On behalf of the family, we wish to express our gratitude to Dr. Denegri, Dr. Irvine, the many doctors, nurses and staff at NRGH as well as the Palliative Care Unit, Caledonia Central Drugs, Home Care Nursing, Nanaimo Ambulance and Fire Departments.
Celebration of life will be held at Branch 256 Legion, 1630 East Wellington Road, Nanaimo on Sunday January 18, 2015 at 1:00 PM.
If so desired, donations can be made to the Nanaimo Hospice or a Charity of your choice.
May the wind always be at your back, Mike, Dad, Grandpa.
